Open Question: Can I get a calling card for a friend as a gift?? How? Where?

My friend lives in Spain and I live in the U.S. (Arkansas). I wanted to send him a gift. With this gift I wanted to include some type of phone deal where he can call my cell from his cell in Spain. I was hoping for like a card where I can put money down on it (for a certain amount of minutes...like a gift card I guess) that he can use when he wanted to call me. Is this possible to do?
